Minecraft server hosting, from Paper to modpacks

Minecraft’s tick loop runs on a single core, so what counts is how fast that core is. That is why our Minecraft servers run on the Xeon E-2386G at up to 5.1 GHz, with NVMe storage, the Pterodactyl panel and DDoS filtering built in. From €2.00 a month, with no player limit.

Install plugins without touching a file

The panel handles server software, plugins, mods and worlds right in your browser. No SSH, no manual .jar uploads – and if you prefer SFTP, it is always there.

  • Versions and server software

Paper, Purpur, Spigot, vanilla, Forge, NeoForge or Fabric: switch software and version from a dropdown, without reinstalling and without losing your world. A backup before a big version jump is still a good idea.

  • Plugins

Search plugins right in the panel and install them in one click, updates included. Missing dependencies are flagged before installing, not as an error in the console at the next start.

  • Modpacks and mods

A CurseForge modpack is set up in one step, with the matching server software and the right Java version. Add or remove single mods in the same place.

  • Worlds

Import, export and switch between several worlds. Prepare a new map in peace and put it live when it is ready, instead of rebuilding the running server on the fly.

  • Your own subdomain

Instead of an IP and port, your players type an address like yourserver.uniohost.fr. Set up the subdomain yourself in the panel, no ticket needed.

  • Backups and restore

One to three backup slots depending on the plan. Create backups whenever you want and restore them in one click. Schedule a task and they run automatically, for example every night at 4 a.m.

Included in every plan

  • Clock speed first

Minecraft computes the world, redstone and entities in a single thread. Extra cores barely help the tick, a fast core helps a lot. Hence the Xeon E-2386G at up to 5.1 GHz, on reserved vCores.

  • NVMe for chunk loading

Exploring generates and loads new regions all the time, with countless small reads and writes. On NVMe your players hardly notice; on slow disks the whole server stutters.

  • No player limit

We do not sell slots. How many players can be online depends on your plan’s memory and what your plugins and mods use, not on a number in a contract.

  • Console, SFTP, sub-users

Live console, file manager and config editor in your browser, SFTP for big uploads. Moderators get their own sub-accounts with exactly the rights they need.

  • MySQL included

Plugins like LuckPerms or CoreProtect can store their data in MySQL instead of local files. One database comes with every plan, two from Pro upwards.

  • Anti-DDoS included

Public servers get targeted sooner or later. UnioShield filters attacks on L3, L4 and L7 before they reach your server, always on, on every plan, at no extra cost.

Supported server software

Everything installs in one click from the panel, vanilla included, or upload your own .jar.

  • PaperRecommended

The go-to performance fork for survival, Skyblock and minigames. Runs Bukkit and Spigot plugins and is the right base for almost every plugin server.

  • Purpur

Built on Paper with hundreds of extra settings, for admins who want to fine-tune gameplay and behavior.

  • Spigot

The classic Paper grew out of. Still solid, slightly less optimized than Paper under heavy load.

  • Forge / NeoForgeMods

For big modpacks like RLCraft or All the Mods and mods like Create; newer packs often use NeoForge. Plan for at least 8 GB of memory.

  • Fabric

Lean and modern. Paired with optimization mods like Lithium, a great base for modded servers that stay snappy.

  • Velocity / BungeeCordNetwork

Proxies that bundle several servers behind one address: lobby, minigames and separate worlds your players hop between without reconnecting.

Which plan fits your server

A survival server for friends, ten to fifteen players on Paper with a handful of plugins, runs fine on Essential with 4 GB for €4.00 a month. Starter with 2 GB stays playable for five or six players without mods.

Modpacks make memory the limiting factor. A current Forge or NeoForge pack uses 6 to 8 GB before anyone joins, so Modded with 8 GB for €6.00 is the floor, and Pro with 16 GB for €8.00 is the realistic choice for big packs like All the Mods.

Running a network behind a Velocity proxy? Count memory per instance: proxy, lobby and every game mode need their own. Advanced with 24 GB and Business with 32 GB are made for that. Start with one server and upgrade from the client area later, without a reinstall.

Why clock speed beats core count

A Minecraft server works in ticks: twenty times a second it updates entities, blocks, redstone and players, in a single thread with 50 milliseconds per tick. When a tick takes longer, TPS drop below 20 and everyone feels lag, even with a perfect connection.

Because that work cannot be spread across cores, single-core speed decides. Our game servers run on the Xeon E-2386G at up to 5.1 GHz turbo with reserved vCores. The other cores still do their part with chunk generation, garbage collection and networking. And if your server ever struggles, a spark profiler report usually points at the culprit faster than a bigger plan.

Create your Minecraft server in minutes

Pick a plan, pay, and your server is set up automatically. Log in to the Pterodactyl panel, choose your server software and version, and hit start. No setup fee, monthly billing, and every renewal costs the same as your first month.

Bring your existing world: upload it through the file manager or SFTP and unzip it right in the panel. Cheap does not mean cut down: the €2.00 plan runs on the same hardware as Business, with the panel, a database, a backup slot and DDoS filtering. Questions? Ask us by ticket or on Discord.

Minecraft server FAQ

How much RAM does a Minecraft server need?

Vanilla or Paper with five or six players runs on 2 GB, ten to fifteen players with plugins on 4 GB. Forge or NeoForge modpacks use 6 to 8 GB before the first player joins, so Modded with 8 GB is the floor there. Big packs like All the Mods run more comfortably on Pro with 16 GB.

Which Minecraft versions are supported?

Java Edition from 1.8 up to the latest release. Pick Paper, Purpur, Spigot, vanilla, Forge, NeoForge or Fabric from a list in the panel, plus the Velocity and BungeeCord proxies. You can also upload your own .jar. Take a backup before switching versions: not every world survives a downgrade.

Is there a player limit?

No. We do not sell slots; you set max-players in server.properties yourself. In practice, only memory and tick time limit it, so your plan, your plugins and how your players build. A redstone factory in every chunk costs more than twenty players who just build.

Are backups included?

Yes, one to three backup slots depending on the plan. Backups do not run by themselves: create them with one click in the panel or schedule a task, for example a nightly backup. Restoring is one click too.

Do you guarantee 20 TPS?

No. TPS depend mostly on plugins, mods, farms and loaded chunks, so a fixed promise would not be honest. What we guarantee is the foundation: Xeon E-2386G at up to 5.1 GHz, reserved vCores and NVMe storage. If TPS drop, a profiler like spark usually shows why within minutes.

Can I bring my existing world?

Yes. Zip your world folder, upload it through the file manager or SFTP and unzip it right in the panel. Then set the folder name as level-name in server.properties. The server version should be at least the version the world was last played on.
